On Monday 11 April 2022, SEMMA welcomed Luke Donnellan MP to the graduation of our second round of students who completed our industry-led welding skills course, attending the presentation of certificates by President Peter Angelico. It was also a day of celebration as all participants successfully completed their training and as a result were offered the opportunity of full-time employment with member Hilton Manufacturing.
Mr Donnellan had the opportunity to try the welding simulator with demonstration provided by a student. The use of a welding simulator has been a valuable component of the training, allowing participants to not only adjust to the welding helmet but practice in a safe, fun, sustainable manner while receiving a detailed analysis of their attempt.
