ADVOCACY IN ACTION
SEMMA presented to the Liberals and Nationals Public Forum into Tax Reform on Tuesday 27 February at State Parliament. This was received very well and prompted a Media Release from Bridget Vallence MP – Shadow Minister for Industry, Manufacturing, Innovation, Medical Research, and the Digital Economy. On Thursday 29 February, SEMMA hosted Southern Region MP David Limbrick and some of our manufacturing members to discuss the topic and take questions to Parliament for next week’s sitting. Channel 7 Business Reporter Nick McCallum filmed an excellent story on the issue (video above).

Upcoming Advocacy:
- We have a meeting with the Treasurer, Tim Pallas on Tuesday 5 March at 12 noon.
- We have a meeting with Senator the Hon Jane Hume Liberal Senator for Victoria and Shadow Minister for Finance, Public Service and Special Minister of State on Tuesday 5 March at 9:30am.
- SEMMA will also be making a submission to the 2024-25 Victorian State Budget.
