The City of Greater Dandenong is a local government area located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. It covers an area of just under 130 square kilometers and in 2017 had approximately 157,000 residents.

Greater Dandenong has long been considered Metropolitan Melbourne’s second city center and is home to several industrial precincts forming one of Australia’s most significant and productive manufacturing areas. With over 98,000 jobs in the municipality, of which over 22,000 are in manufacturing, Greater Dandenong is a major source of employment for the whole South East Region of Metropolitan Melbourne and beyond. Fundamental and applied research conducted at the Australian Synchrotron brings improvements in human health, leads to the development of new materials and technologies,  contributes to environmental sustainability and solves problems for industry.

The specialised techniques have applications in in advanced materials, agriculture biomedicine, defence science, environmental sustainability, food and food technology, forensic science, energy industry, mining, cultural heritage, planetary science, and electronics, among many others. A specialised team of physicists at the Australian Synchrotron also undertake research in accelerator science and develop accelerator systems in a broad range of areas, including feedback systems to modelling future linear collider accelerators, and the design of novel future light sources for precision particle physics measurements.

The Australian Made Campaign is the not-for-profit organisation that administers and promotes the green-and-gold Australian Made, Australian Grown logo.

The logo is Australia’s most trusted, recognised and widely used country of origin symbol, and is underpinned by a third-party accreditation system, which ensures products that carry the logo are certified as ‘genuinely Australian’.

Baw Baw Shire is approximately 100 kilometres east of Melbourne in the heart of West Gippsland.

It has an area of 4,034 square kilometres and was formed in 1994 from the amalgamation of the former Buln Buln and Narracan Shires, the Rural City of Warragul (previously the Shire of Warragul), and some parts of the Shire of Upper Yarra.

The northern half of the shire is heavily forested and lies in the Great Dividing Range and its foothills, including the Mt Baw Baw National Park, while the shire is bounded by the Strzelecki Range and its foothills to the south. The ‘middle’ part of the shire is more densely populated, particularly in areas close to the Princes Highway and the Gippsland railway line, but still retains its rural environment.

Hilton Manufacturing commenced business in 1976 and now operates from a modern factory of 15,000m2, located in Dandenong, in the South East area of Melbourne and a 4000 m2 plant in Wacol, South West of Brisbane.

Hilton is now the preferred supplier to Volvo and Mack, Kenworth, Mercedes, Iveco and Western Star of fuel tanks and associated mounting components locally, along with export orders to Tata/Daewoo in Korea, Hino, Nissan and Isuzu in Japan, Scania in Sweden and Westport in Canada.

Hilton Manufacturing also supplies all of the Australian truck companies with aftermarket products and is a major supplier to truck aftermarket of its own unique fuel tank products via its distributors located around Australia.
