Today, SEMMA was proud to take part in the Frankston Mornington Peninsula Industry Expo, hosted at Chisholm Frankston. Attended by over 1,200 senior secondary school students, the event served as a converging point for the future workforce, offering a glimpse into the vast career opportunities our region has to offer.
SEMMA are committed to fostering the next generation of manufacturers and engineers, and believe in nurturing the next generation of talent. Our presence at this expo aimed to inspire and inform these bright young minds about the exciting possibilities within our industry. As advocates for the manufacturing industry, our team encouraged students to explore the world of manufacturing through hands-on experience. We didn’t just talk about it; we let them experience it first hand!
Our welding simulator challenged students to try their hand at welding, with high-accuracy scorers walking away with small prizes. It was incredible to witness their enthusiasm and determination, and it’s clear that the future of manufacturing is in good hands.
SEMMA used this opportunity to introduce our brand-new Modern Manufacturing campaign. This initiative aims to educate local youth about the smart, secure, and sustainable career paths available within our industry
Thank you to the FMPLLEN to organising the expo and to the other exhibitors who participated in this remarkable event, raising awareness about their industries and engaging with our future workforce. This event was a testament to the collaborative spirit of our region’s employers, who joined forces to raise awareness about their industries and engage with tomorrow’s leaders. SEMMA is dedicated to promoting careers in manufacturing, empowering young minds, and driving the Modern Manufacturing campaign forward as part of our commitment to shaping a brighter future.
