There are some important changes coming into effect today, 1 July 2021.
This includes the end of the amnesty period for businesses who have not previously been required to use the Victoria Government QR Code check-in system, as well as the new Environmental Protection laws coming into effect.

Victorian Government QR Code Service
All businesses are now required to use the Victorian Government QR Code Service (unless an exemption applies). For those businesses not already mandated, a reminder that the enforcement amnesty ends at 11:59pm Thursday 1 July.

From 1 July 2021, the newly amended Environment Protection Act will come into effect changing the way Victorian businesses manage their impact.
This new Act directs the focus towards prevention of the risk on public health and the environment rather than focusing on the consequences of increased pollution.
