SEMMA Members honoured at Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame
Over 800 guests gathered at the Crown Palladium on Thursday 9th June 2016 to celebrate the manufacturing industry and honour the leaders that work tirelessly to succeed in one of the most challenging business environments in the country. The night was particularly special for SEMMA members, Steve Thompson (SEMMA Board) from Morgan Advanced Materials Australia which was inducted into the company Hall of Fame and to Swinburne University of Technology, who were awarded the International Education Award.
The VMH event provides a great opportunity for SEMMA members to showcase the solidarity of the manufacturing community in Melbourne's South East to the government and other key stakeholders.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners from the 2016 event, in particular the 2 award winners and the 9 award finalists who are all SEMMA members.
“The contingent of over 100 SEMMA members including their families and friends that attended the awards ceremony is evidence that manufacturers can be successful, and that the region is a great place to run a manufacturing business” Simon Whitely (SEMMA President) said.
