Creating the Future of Advanced Manufacturing: Partnering and Funding Opportunities

Swinburne University of Technology has a long and established history of working closely with the manufacturing sector to address industry challenges and increase firm competitiveness through product and process innovation. Because of this we realise that partnering may be difficult for many manufacturing companies and the funding landscape can be confusing – many schemes exist and deciding which one is right for business is often a tough challenge.

We would like to make this process easier for companies by demystifying it a little. Please join us for breakfast and hear from representatives of the following organisations about their funding opportunities for industry support and engagement and how to partner with research providers:

·         The Innovative Manufacturing Cooperative Research Centre (IMCRC)

·         The Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC)

·         The Entrepreneur’s Programme – Innovations Connections

·         The Victorian Government

You will also hear from manufacturing companies that have benefited from these funding sources, to talk about their experience in accessing funds.

Further speakers are:

·         Professor Bronwyn Fox, Director of Swinburne’s recently established Manufacturing Futures Research Institute

·         Associate Professor Nico Adams, Director of Swinburne’s Factory of the Future (leading Industry 4.0 implementation)

You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the Factory of the Future as well as the Industry 4.0 training space and course at our PAVE vocational training facility.

IMCRC would like to invite you to stay on for an interactive workshop to learn how you can benefit from digital manufacturing and new business models to future-proof your business. The workshop has been specifically developed for Australian manufacturing SMEs to help them think differently about the opportunities and challenges of digital manufacturing for their business. It highlights their strengths and weaknesses in the areas of market maturity, leadership maturity, innovation maturity and digital maturity.

Please RSVP by Tuesday 24th April here
